Laser Cyclo-ablation
What is laser cyclo-ablation?
Laser cyclo-ablation may be helpful in treating people with severe glaucoma, which has not been amenable to treatment with drops or surgery. The laser is used to modify the ciliary body, to reduce the production of the eye fluid, thus reducing the eye pressure. The laser is performed on the outer surface of the eye under a local anaesthetic, and takes about 5 minutes to complete.
